Dr Maddie’s love for all creatures great and small began at a very young age, as she grew up surrounded by animals. Her family often commented that she would rather be outside with her furry friends than anywhere else. Maddie started her university studies as a vet tech student to pursue her passion and then went on to study veterinary science at The University of Queensland, graduating with honours in 2022.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Maddie snuggled up on the couch with her two cats, Clove and Sesame, with a coffee in hand, enjoying a good book. When the weather is nice, Maddie also loves being out in the garden tending to her (possibly too many) orchids and native plants, or out on a hike in the rainforests of the Sunshine Coast.
